Yes, I Know.

And I agree. I am useless.

So much has been going on recently that I just haven't had the time or energy to write about all the fun stuff that has been going on.

I will get to it...... eventually. Probably later in the week. You can expect a barrage of posts (I hope). I've hopefully got one more fun thing going on this week and then after that I'll knuckle down and write some posts.

Till later!

Monkey Business

Monkey Bread has been something of an obsession since I first heard of it around December 2007. I should say that I have actually only tried it once before but I've talked about it a lot.
Well this was my first time making it. I was a little nervous because I was worried that it wouldn't live up to my expectations but I just had to make it.
I realise that some of you will have no idea of what I am talking about. Monkey Bread is basically sweet dough balls slathered in melted butter, sugar and cinnamon and baked in the oven. AMAZING!
I was a bit nervous because I had to make the dough from scratch. I'm glad I did though cos it turned out to be really good.
Here it is just before it went into the oven.Oh my!Not gonna lie, I scraped the pan that I mixed the butter, sugar and cinnamon in. Well worth the gained pounds!Waiting, waiting....... and wishing I'd cleaned the oven door......Finally ready!YUM! Sticky, sweet goodness........ The dough is very dense rather than light. I don't know if that was a product of my dough making technique or the way that the dough was meant to be but I liked it that way.
I may or may not have had some for breakfast this morning too. I feel now that I am comparable to an Icelandic volcano. I may pop at any moment but Monkey Bread is so worth it!
